West Side Irish Pub, Milwaukee Brewery Team Up to Raise Funds for Fallen MPD Officer

MILWAUKEE - Aug. 3, 2018 - PRLog -- In the wake of the death police officer Michael J. Michalski, local Irish pub O'Brien's is announcing a special fundraiser in support of Michalski's family.

The owners of O'Brien's Irish Pub on West Vliet Street, Brian Eft and Joel Klamann, teamed up with Lakefront Brewery to each donate half barrels of River West Stein in a special a fundraiser called "Brew for the Blue." All proceeds from the sale of the beer will go to the Michalski family. In addition, O'Brien's will donate $1 from each glass sold after these two half barrels are gone and $1 from each burger sold from now until August 31.

"We want to help the family of Officer Michalski, who served our city dutifully for 17 years," Eft said. "I can't imagine the anguish his family members are feeling. He was truly a great man and will leave a big void in our community."
