New Northern Illinois Publisher Set to Release Books

POPLAR GROVE, Ill. - Aug. 7, 2018 - PRLog -- Tales of Wonder and Dread Publishing has announced release dates and titles for their first three books. The imprint is a brand new publisher based in Poplar Grove, Illinois. Their books will be published at lulu.com. The first three books will all be published on September 4th, 2018. The publisher will be focused on science fiction and horror books. The first three titles coming from the publisher are Life Blood: A Collection of Vampire Tales, Spooky Rockford: Creepy Tales in the Greater Forest City Area and Strange Realities: Collected Short Stories and More by Gary Hill - Expanded and Revised Edition.

Life Blood: A Collection of Vampire Tales is edited by Gary Hill. This new collection features modern vampire related contributions from Heath D. Alberts, Erynn Crittenden, Gary Hill, Dustin Urness and Dessie R. Voigt along with historical tales that seek to establish the new stories in the rich tradition of vampiric fiction.  It even includes some poetry.

Spooky Rockford: Creepy Tales in the Greater Forest City Area, as the title suggests, focuses on tales meant to be at least a little scary and all set in the greater Rockford, Illinois area (stretching as far afield as the Southern Chicago area). It includes non-fiction, fictionalized non-fiction and fiction stories. Including contributions from Heath D. Alberts, Ernie Fuhr, Diane Hill, Gary Hill and Kathi Kresol, this collection also includes lots of photos.

Strange Realities: Collected Short Stories and More by Gary Hill - Expanded and Revised Edition is, as you might gather, a reissue. This new edition of "Strange Realities" includes five newer fiction tales not included in the  original collection of short stories. In addition, there are several of Gary Hill's blog posts and two non-fiction pieces. The new edition is about twice the size of the original version which was released in 2011.

All of the books will be available in paperback at lulu.com/strangesound and Amazon.com and other book retailers. A hardcover edition of each will be available exclusively at lulu.com/strangesound. Gary Hill will have copies of them at a book signing at Katie's Cup on the 22nd of September at noon. Additionally, several of the contributors to both "Spooky Rockford" and "Life Blood" will be in attendance to sign those books.
