PRLog -- Primetime Life Sciences, LLC, a pharmaceutical company focused on discovery and development of new and smart treatments by using a multi-disciplinary, highly collaborative "bench-to-bedside"
approach, today announced it has been awarded a Fast-Track Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant by the National Institute of Health for development of depression. Depression is a serious medical illness that afflicts millions of people with significant individual suffering, increased risk of suicide, and an enormous socioeconomic burden for society.
The funds for this Fast Track SBIR grant will be released in two parts. An initial Phase I award of $350,042 is granted in the near term. Phase II of the project would support pre-clinical studies towards IND submission of our lead compound. Together, the Fast-Track SBIR grant has the potential to provide a total of $2.98 million in nondilutive financial resources.
