Kaylah Wilson was the first CORRAL graduate in December 2013. When referred to the CORRAL program at the age of 15, Kaylah was affiliated with gang members and was in danger of court involvement. CORRAL helped her successfully work through these challenges and ultimately graduate high school one semester early. While she acknowledged the program wasn't always easy, Kaylah credited CORRAL with helping transform her life, "I learned there's times here where it's hard and you feel like you're never going to get through it. But as time goes on you learn to love CORRAL. It's a blessing to have people like them out here to help girls who are struggling and who have been in hard places. I think back to when I first started here and thought I should take a chance on it. I'm really glad I did." According to CORRAL founder and Executive Director Joy Currey, the last ten years have been a roller coaster ride made up of some amazing challenges as well as heartwarming successes. "Since 2008 we have grown in so many ways," says Currey. "From serving our first girl to our Million Dollar Miracle that enabled us to purchase our forever home here in Cary, we've seen so many stories of transformation and healing. We can't wait to see what God has in store for us in the next 10 years." CORRAL invites the public to celebrate its 10th anniversary at its annual CORRAL Classic event on the farm on Saturday, November 3 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. There will be farm tours, kids' crafts, entertainment, horsewomanship demonstrations by the girls and more. The event is free, and a complimentary lunch will be served. For more information and to register visit (?).
