Benchmark, Inc. Pavement Division Celebrates 30 Year Anniversary

WAUKESHA, Wis. - Aug. 22, 2018 - PRLog -- Benchmark, Inc., one of the leading roof and pavement consulting firms in North America, is celebrating 30 years of service with its pavement division (formerly Pavement Consulting, Inc.). Back in 1988, father and son team Paul and Steve Schmidt, helped shape the pavement industry with the inception of Pavement Consulting, Inc. (PCI) and operating from the vision of "blending the science of engineering with the art of construction." PCI was in its 10th year of operations when Paul died of cancer, leaving his son Steve with the difficult decision to either cut the PCI ties or keep the business. Only 27 years old at the time, Steve decided his father would be proud if the business was preserved.

PCI merged with Benchmark in 2004, at the recommendation of shared clients, to provide proven roof and pavement consulting services for companies with multiple facilities and complex assets. Operating under the Benchmark name after the merger, the team's technical expertise and unbiased approach have made the company a nationwide leader in roof and pavement evaluation, design, and project management.
