Think Speak Films Debuts New Short Film My Name Is Art

LAS VEGAS - Aug. 27, 2018 - PRLog -- My Name is Art is a new science fiction short film making its world premiere at the Silver State Film Festival on September 9th at Century Orleans 18 at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 15-minute film was accepted as part of the short film section of the independent festival's inaugural lineup. It marks the big screen debut of the My Name is Art.

Produced by Think Speak Films, My Name is Art features actors Kevin Sanders, Tony Drissi, and independent musician Jesse Pino. It also features Tara Platt (The Call, Unremarkable, The Crystal Crypt) and Kassi Steele in supporting roles. It was written by Asher Ellis who has previously scripted the short films Motel and Exit 7A and a segment in the horror shorts anthology feature The Portal.

Using IndieGoGo, the film was produced on a budget of $2,500. Speaking about the production process, the director, Shahab Zargari, said, "I am so excited about how this project came together. It was a real community effort including our sponsors, the amazing cast and crew, and all the technical engineers who helped pull it together."

Zargari previously directed the award-winning science fiction short The Crystal Crypt, based on the Philip K. Dick short story of the same name, which starred Yuri Lowenthal (Ben 10: Omniverse, Spider-Man video game), Alex Demkin (Hail, Caesar!), Jordan Jones, and Tara Platt.
