Califia and the Timeless Sentries: Creator says, "The Rise of Queen Califia will be Mysterious and Suspenseful!"Science Fantasy Motion Comic Web Series, Califia and the Timeless Sentries Episode 1 "Sacrifices," Available NOW on YouTube
By: Califia Comics Califia and the Timeless Sentries chronicles how Califia bands together with a group of mighty warriors called the Sentries to protect the weak against the evil forces of Lemuria – a lost continent in a parallel dimension where time, space, science and magic defy all the laws of nature. People and things have been transported there from our Earth for centuries, and the bigger mystery is why? Underwood reveals one of the other major revelations to unravel in the first season is that of the titular character herself. "When we start our story, Califia is a clandestine character who we learn more about in each one of the four episodes of the first season," says Underwood. "She's an enigma to the Sentries, and I want the viewer to discover more about her as they do." The Sentries are Sir Morien (Demetrius Grosse), the real Black Knight of the Round Table; William Tell (JB Blanc), the folk hero of Sweden; Mowgli (Nirav Bhakta), once a "jungle boy" now a young man; Madame Butterfly (Diana Lu), once a naïve woman caught in a tragic love story now a skilled female ninja; Sycorax (Victoria Platt), the unseen sorceress from Shakespeare's The Tempest; and Dawn Henry (Stephanie Charles), a teenaged female descendant of John Henry. The female characters carry the overall story arcs of the motion comic web series, but it's boy's night out in the first episode of the season. The Sentries' sworn duty is to defend the people of the Village, one of the last human refuges remaining on Lemuria. When a group of genetically engineered man-beasts begin offering Villagers as human sacrifices to their god, Moreau, it's up to the Sentries — Sir Morien the Black Knight, William Tell, and Mowgli — to stop them.
