Gluten-Free and Sugar-Free Salad Dressing - Healthiest Salad Dressing for Weight Loss

How I lost 62 Pounds and the Importance of salad dressing...

LOS ANGELES - Sept. 9, 2018 - PRLog -- First, let me say that I am not a doctor! The weight loss techniques I share in this article worked for me and may not work for you. (Wanted to start with this disclaimer. Certainly, consult your doctor for questions).

I share "The Entrepreneur's Curse".

By this, I mean spending long hours in front of a laptop. This time is usually spent sitting while; planning, creating, scheduling, organizing, delegating and executing.

Unfortunately, because of this weight gain is almost unavoidable.

Weight accumulates so quickly that it is almost magical. The tendency to look at others around you who are "heavier" and think; "maybe my weight is not so bad" becomes your balm.

But in a country where the 'National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey' shows that 100 million people are now obese (2018) that thinking is faulty at best!

Sure I exercise but not enough to offset the inactivity. (This is why I call it "The Entrepreneur's Curse").

Since I recently lost 62 pounds (and counting, my goal is to lose 80 - yeah, like I said, lots of sitting!) I wanted to share with my listeners how I am doing it.

One of the first things I started doing was increasing my intake of salads. The problem is that many salad dressings contain 94 calories, or more, per tablespoon. This means that you can actually become fatter eating salads!

Needless to say, this revelation was disheartening.

But then I stumbled on the key! I found the one thing that made all the difference in my eating. I shifted my focus from what I was eating to when I was eating it.

This lead to intermittent fasting. Now there is lots of information about the benefits of "I.F." (as the millennials call it) feel free to Google them.

As I reduced my 'eating window' to 6 hours (between 2 pm to 8 pm) a new magic took place:

- I slept better

- Clothes got looser

- My focus increased

Now I know that the thought of waiting until 2 pm to eat your first meal of the day sounds a little extreme. It may help to know that I started by skipping breakfast. When I am working on a project noon gets here pretty quickly. You might start there.

Then I began to see even better results (weight loss) shortening my window to 6 hours (2 pm to 8 pm). I can assure you that after a week you get used to it. Your mind accepts the fact and you start to focus on other things besides food.

Oh Yeah - The Salad Dressing

The initial fast weight loss through intermittent fasting inspired some other changes.

I had gone around the bend looking for sugar-free, fat-free, salad dressings. But so many of them had other 'stuff' that I didn't want to consume in them.

Mixing a tablespoon of brown mustard with some vinegar was the solution that was quick and easy.  And my final remedy was just to use salsa (I like fire roasted) as my salad dressing. This is what I currently use.

You are not going to like hearing this but I also found that eliminating dairy, coffee, and drastically reducing my sugar consumption were MAJOR accelerators to my success! (Sorry, I know that was tough to hear).

Food For Thought

I hope what I just shared will help you if you decide to give my methods a try.

Much of eating is habitual, done while watching TV, or stress-related (what psychologists call emotional eating).

And few things can cause as much stress as money (or the lack thereof). If you want a solution that can help with that area of your life watch the short video I created at the link below:
