Laurinda "Laurie" Alves to be Named Flagler Business Women's 'Woman of the Year' for 2018!

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. - Oct. 2, 2018 - PRLog -- The Flagler Business Women association has chosen Laurinda "Laurie" Alves as its 2018 Woman of the Year. Laurinda will be presented with the award at the organization's dinner and award ceremony this month. The event will be held on October 15th at the Hilton Garden Inn, located at 55 Town Center Blvd, Palm Coast from 6:00PM until 9:00PM.

"Laurinda has been quietly giving back and making a positive difference in our community for over a decade," said Agnes Lightfoot, FBW's president. "She has a giving heart, one of the key factors we look for in our Woman of the Year recipients," Agnes added. Laurinda is a shareholder at Intracoastal Bank and recently retired after working there since they opened 10 years ago. Over the years, she has served as a Take Stock in Children mentor, volunteered with Women United Flagler Chapter's Chicks with Cans, and Habitat for Humanity just to name a few.
