MIDLAND, Texas - Oct. 4, 2018 - PRLog -- Deep Well Services' new operations in West Texas and the Permian Basin will feature the same qualified work force and innovative technology that made the Zelienople, Pa.-based oil and gas company an industry leader in high pressure and long lateral completions in the Appalachian Basin.

DWS currently is serving customers in the Permian Basin. The company's 16,000-square-foot facility based in Midland, Texas, is expected to be fully operational in December. DWS will have three Hydraulic Completion Units (HCUs) operating by the end of 2019, and Primary Blow Out Preventers (BOPs) will support the division.

"We have put a lot of time and effort into planning our Texas expansion," said Cam Edel, Texas Regional Manager for DWS. "We have been able to duplicate our successes and efficiencies learned in the Northeast and apply them to our Permian programs. This has quickly led to our establishing positive relationships with customers in this region."

Deep Well Services' expansion into the Permian Basin comes after years of developing cutting-edge technology and playing a primary role in a string of North American record-breaking wells.

Houston-based private equity company White Deer Energy acquired Deep Well Services in April 2018. The acquisition has led to establishing operations in Texas.

"Our new investors have enabled us to expand into the Permian Basin while we also continue to service our Appalachian Basin customers," said Mark Marmo, CEO of Deep Well Services. "We have developed a detailed strategy that will be executed in both regions as we create additional service lines for our customers."

Edel, who has 18 years of snubbing experience, points to the DWS technology that has been integrated into the HCU fleet as their differentiator in the stick pipe market.

"We've been able to provide a snubbing service that allows our customer to reduce the amount of equipment and services needed to complete the drill out of frac plugs as well as the installation of production strings," Edel said. "The unique design of our equipment allows us to accomplish this."

The 10K and 15K Primary BOPs and Power Swivels are manufactured in the United States and are certified to API 16A requirements. In addition, all components of the power swivels will exceed drift tolerances for 2.375- and 2.875-inch PH6 wireline operations and the Primary BOPs will be paired with closing units that are remote panel enabled.

"Customers in the area are extremely interested in having DWS supply all BOPs for our drill out operations," Edel said. "This will further make us stand out from our competition."

DWS also has established itself as a leader in Health Safety Quality and Environmental (HSQE) standards. Last year, DWS achieved the American Petroleum Institute (API) Specification Q2 certification for drilling service providers and the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems (QMS) certification.

For a second straight year, Deep Well Services earned the Northeast Oil & Gas Award for Excellence in Health and Safety in 2018.

"Our training and competency programs are vital to our growth and ability to complete complex wellbore interventions," said Matt Tourigny, Vice President of Marketing at DWS. "Last year we completed 575 wells with less than 1 percent downtime, and in 2018 we are on pace to complete 700 wells now that we have expanded into the Permian Basin."
