Susan G. Komen East Tennessee-2018 Tri-Cities BigWigs: Vickie Combs

KINGSPORT, Tenn. - Oct. 4, 2018 - PRLog -- Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc., of Johnson City, Tennessee, is proud to join Vickie Combs in her participation in Susan G. Komen's Big Wigs for this year.

Since 2005, Susan G. Komen East TN, Tri-Cities Region has invested over $2.6 million dollars in local breast health and breast cancer awareness projects in the 8 counties of northeast Tennessee. Being a Susan G. Komen BigWig means you are a person on a mission to end breast cancer forever by raising awareness and funds in your community. You also have to be willing to have fun while wearing a pink wig throughout the month of October.

This year, Vickie Combs, Community Business Development Manager at Barnes & Noble in Johnson City, TN, will join in on this important mission for breast cancer awareness. About being a BigWig, Vickie says, "What an honor and privilege to be a Big Wig for Susan G. Komen this year. This touches me to my soul, in more ways than one. I was 15 years old when my mom came home and told me she had breast cancer."
