One Couples Fight Against Overtoursim

KAUAI, Hawaii - Oct. 10, 2018 - PRLog -- With The Garden Island implementing their new Kauai Tourism Strategic Plan 2019 through 2021, an ex-Hawaiian resident wants to help reduce, "overtourism" by encouraging their social media followers to travel in the off-season.

"I know that during peak tourist months, Kauai is overcrowded and has traffic congestion, like it's never had before," says Michael Harlow of The Adventure Travelers.  "My wife and I plan to help in our own simple way.  We want to reduce the impact to the communities and reduce overtourism during peak months."

The Adventure Travelers will be producing short travel videos for their YouTube Channel and other social media from October 16th thru the 25th.

"We know that the State of Hawaii will see over $400 million in revenues for film and television production in 2019, and we are nowhere near that popular," Melissa acknowledges, "however travelers are becoming more aware of overtoursim, and we want to help educate them in our own special way."

The Adventure Travelers have video production shoots already set up with, Capt Andy's Sailing Adventures, Kipu Ranch Adventures, Princeville Botanical Gardens & Dakine Hands Acupuncture.
