70-Year Old Georgia Steel Company Names New Leadership

ATLANTA - Oct. 16, 2018 - PRLog -- Mike Prather has been named Director of Field Operations for Steel, LLC. In this role, Mike oversees all aspects of field operations including the field erection division and in-house structural erection for Steel, LLC.

Prior to joining the company, Mike worked as a field foreman with subcontractors on high-profile projects including Space X, NASA VAB and retrofitting the Orion rocket where he learned more about Steel, LLC. His early career gave him an introduction to welding and structural steel, so it was a natural fit to make the jump over to leading field operations for Steel, LLC.

Originally from Missouri, Mike served seven years in the Army as a special forces combat medic before he was wounded. Special forces medical experts are widely considered to be the finest first-response trauma medical technicians in the world. After shifting gears from pursuing a medical career, Mike has established a reputation as a go-to in the steel industry and focuses Steel, LLC's field operations on productivity, safety, and efficiency.
