There is Never a Good Reason to give up on the very God Who gives us Everything to gain—not Lose

James Langston has chosen October 17, 2018 to launch his latest book, "Don't 'You' Dare! | Give Up on God!".

The book is slated for sales on Amazon, Amazon Kindle, Barnes and Noble, NOOK and Lulu Incorporated in paperback and hardcover.

James Langston is senior pastor of the Pilgrim Outreach Ministries, International. He faithfully served his country in the navy for 27 years before retiring in 2003.

In 2005, Langston uploaded his first video book preview snapshot to YouTube. He has since posted more than 30 snapshots and 500 sermons. These have garnered more than 550,000 "hits".

In January of this year, Langston wrote his "first-ever" pitch proposal for a SyFy TV show, "Glance". The proposal was recently converted to video format for viewing by executive producers at Sony, Pixar, Discovery Channel, Lifetime TV, A&E, SyFy, Velocity and UKTV.

James writes, "Despite what former presidents, political pundits, prognosticators and naysayers have said, the United States of America is a Christian nation! Only a fool would publicly say otherwise".

A Christian nation as demonstrated by the American experience is a nation founded upon Christian and Biblical principles, whose values, society, and institutions have largely been shaped by those principles.

Current research reveals that we are realistically in danger of not passing on biblical Christianity to the next generation. Both an overexposure to worldly philosophy and an overdependence on church programs have caused us to fail in our task to hand off a vibrant, kingdom-focused faith.

Today's generation does not know what liberty costs. They can't identify between good and right. They have no sense of what "exceptionalism" means. They don't know how history got us to where we are today, and why its bloody path was worth it.

As such, this generation knows little, if anything about what happened at Azusa street, the First, Second or Third Great Awakenings, the 1904–1905 Welsh Revival, the Can Ridge Revival, nor do they recognize the names of Jonathan Edwards, Dwight L. Moody, Charles H. Spurgeon or Billy Sunday. We know nothing about prayer, or the affects that prayer has had on this nation for the past 232 years.

Writer and philosopher George Santayana sums it best when he said, "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. Those who do not remember their past are condemned to repeat their mistakes. Those who do not read history are doomed to repeat it".

This book reminds the believer, the non-believer, the saint and the sinner that anytime we give up on God, we give up on His promises of peace. It is in the midst of life's trials and tribulations that we are awakened to the unmistakable truth that God forges the best parts of our lives in the furnace of difficulties and hardships.

When we give up on God, we give up on His promise of hope.  Our failures are not meant to be our swan song or final story, but the beginning of something new and spectacular.

On the other hand, when we commune with God, we experience His presence, His joy, and His promise of peace in our lives. It is through this relationship that His Will for our lives, which has eternal consequences and results, is made known to us.
