Linklaters pushes Women's Leadership Programme initiatives by sponsoring first Women in TMT M&A

LONDON - Oct. 24, 2018 - PRLog -- Women make up over 60% of law students but less than a quarter of partners in law firms. *Linklaters' global Women's Leadership Programme provides those with the strongest potential with structured learning and coaching sessions at a crucial stage in senior female associates' careers.

Now Linklaters are looking to build awareness of their programme across the wider Telecommunications, Media, Private Equity, Finance, M&A Advisory and Technology industries and have joined forces with TMT Finance to share their experiences at the first Women in TMT M&A event, produced by TMT Finance.

Women in TMT M&A has been created to reflect the increasing presence of women leading strategy within the TMT Finance network, with the aim to share knowledge on both navigating the challenges in dealmaking in male dominated TMT industries, together with providing practical guidance on how to reach the top in TMT leadership positions globally.

Georgina Kon, TMT Partner, Linklaters will be chairing the Career Development Strategies for Women in TMT Panel and will focus on the latest success stories, strategies and challenges for negotiating deals and career development for women. Other key sessions at the event include The Women in TMT M&A Deal Makers Panel featuring leaders from Clifford Chance, Standard Bank, IFC and 21st Century Fox and the Women in TMT Leadership Panel, chaired by Accenture and featuring C-Level female executives from Tele2, O2, Liberty Global and TIM.
