Brasco and Goodwill of Detroit Work Together To "Flip the Script" for Detroit Workers

MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. - Oct. 24, 2018 - PRLog -- Today, Brasco International and Goodwill of Detroit announce a collaborative partnership through Goodwill's "Flip the Script" program to connect skilled trades workers with opportunities for
employment at Brasco's manufacturing facility in Madison Heights, MI. Brasco first heard about Goodwill of Detroit's 14-week welding training program in July 2018 and recruited two employees at that time. Brasco now employs five full time employees in their welding and assembly departments.

Brasco is a top supplier of transit shelters and furnishings in the U.S. with all Among their contracts are SMART in Metro Detroit, MI, Pace Suburban Bus Service in Metro Chicago, IL, and the Downtown Pittsburgh Partnership in Pittsburgh, PA.

Goodwill works with referrals from the Michigan Department of Corrections on job training, resume building, relationship building, responsibility, and ethics. Additionally, they assist with day care, transportation, and meal costs to ensure these individuals can maintain employment.

As manufacturing demands have increased, Goodwill has become an integral part of Brasco's recruitment
program. "Overall the program has been very helpful for us with our recruiting efforts," said Kimberly Guest, Human Resources Manager, Brasco. "The program matches us with active job seekers who possess the skills we are seeking."
