BOCA RATON, Fla. - Oct. 29, 2018 - PRLog -- As Palm Beach County's official "cheerleaders" for the county's only NCAA-sanctioned post-season college bowl game, more than 80 Community Captains and 60 partners sound-off each year for the Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl in a variety of ways. Hailing from north to south county, they represent an impassioned cross-section of cities, businesses and community organizations dedicated to "boosting and boasting" the destination brand around the country.

Tapped for their leadership, influence and community pride, the spirited fans serve as "locale" ambassadors to the visiting Bowl teams throughout their stay and active committee members who support game day festivities and the popular lead-in events. They bring their A-game to the Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl Boca Idol Presented by Marshall Socarras Grant competition and the two Built Ford Tough Chefs Tailgate competitions that benefit the bowl's charity partner Spirit of Giving. They also welcome bowl teams upon airport arrivals, serve as hosts
of the team welcome parties and beach visits, shore up crowds at pep rallies, chaperone visiting bands and are onsite for pre-game festivities. Partners provide support by hosting and underwriting lead-in events, allowing the bowl game to promote year-round. They co-brand
to extend the game's presence in the community. They actively serve on the bowl's executive board and community captains. Most importantly, they show local buy-in that is a reason the Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl has made Palm Beach County its home.

"Each year you can feel the community captains and partners energy soar and that is what makes countdown events and bowl week interaction uniquely 'up close and personal' for those living and working in the county and those visiting," said Doug Mosley, executive director of the Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl.

As one of 14 bowl games owned and operated by ESPN, this year's bowl game once again kicks off on the Tuesday before Christmas, December 18 at 7 p.m. at FAU Stadium. The event has become a celebrated annual holiday tradition in Boca Raton and Palm Beach County as it lives up to its other name, 'Boca's Biggest Annual Outdoor Party'."

Featuring all the pomp and circumstance of traditional bowl events, the Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl is a high-energy, entertaining experience for both college football fans and non-fans alike and allows the national spotlight to shine on Boca Raton and Palm Beach County. This year the bowl will have primary tie-ins for teams from Conference USA and the American Athletic Conference, with the Mid-American Athletic Conference having a secondary tie-in. The team from Conference USA will make its headquarters at the Boca Raton Resort & Club and the American Athletic Conference team will be at the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens.
