Follow on Google News | Tech Startup's Same-Day Election Audit Answers Questions About Election FraudBy: Democracy Counts, Inc. Using secure purpose-built software on mobile devices, volunteer citizen auditors will conduct CPA-quality audit processes to collect and generate data. These processes are designed to quickly expose errors, whether accidental or deliberate, so that affected candidates can challenge the official results before they are certified, and request official investigations into the errors. The Democracy Counts! audit system lets people anywhere conduct an election audit to make sure their election was accurately counted. They will be using three principal tools: • A "parallel vote": Voters "vote again" on our devices after casting their regular votes; we then compare our results with official results. There should be no significant discrepancies. • Recording and preserving official polling-place data: This prevents it from being changed between polling place and announced results. Any discrepancy here is unacceptable. • Voter-suppression measurement: More than 90 Floridians have volunteered to be citizen auditors, as of today. They will receive training before the election. "We have reached out to other candidates whose names appear on the ballot in the 23rd Congressional District," said CEO and founder, Daniel Wolf, "including incumbent Cong. Debby Wasserman Schultz, and gubernatorial candidates Ron DeSantis and Andrew Gillum. We think they will appreciate that our process can ensure that win or lose they win or lose fair and square." "When politicians steal elections," Wolf argues, "they steal the future too. Our tools allow citizens to prevent election theft, preserve majority rule, and protect our representative system of government."
