Company Cleans Up With The Hottest Christmas Gift of 2018By: Gift Card Bar They came up with the unique product after their kids in previous years would receive gift cards for Christmas. "These days with all the DLC (Downloadable content) available, kids want gift cards. Our kids would ask for gift cards from iTunes, Steam, Nintendo, Xbox, etc. By the time Christmas was over they had used all the gifts cards downloading junk. Within a few days they would start asking for money again to download something else." The Allens came up with a way to make the gift cards last longer by making a simple bar of soap in the shape of a gold bar, into which the gift card is inserted and then plugged with a soap plug. They tried their invention by giving the soaps to their kids. The only way the kids could use the gift card was to use the soap every time they washed their hands until the soap was at a point where they could extract the gift card. "The soaps taught our kids patience, and as a bonus, we knew they were washing their hands often," the Allens said. They started to give the Gift Card Bars to their family. "At first they thought it was crazy, but a month later when all the other gift cards were used and long forgotten, they were excited to have still have this one," the couple said. The Gift Card Bars were such a hit with family, they decided to start selling them on their website, giftcardbars.com. Demand is so high they are working around the clock to fill orders by Christmas.
