Kick off the Holidays at Pheasant Run Resort

CHARLES, Ill. - Nov. 14, 2018 - PRLog -- Pheasant Run Resort is going all out this holiday season with a Light Up The Holidays party scheduled for Saturday, November 24th followed by the Christmas Light Spectacular to run daily through Christmas. Adults can enjoy specialty cocktails and Santa's Workshop will be open for the kiddos to make crafts. Bourbon Street is your destination for holiday cheer for the whole family.

For the second year now, Bourbon Street will be lit up like a Christmas tree... and set to music. This indoor computerized light show includes over 20,000 pixel lights and every minute of the show takes five hours to program. iPANiC Escape Rooms is already working to set up the display so they can begin programming the lights to music. In 2017, they put in over 1,000 hours for a light show that ran approximately 20 minutes.

Kick off your holidays with the first holiday light show at the Light Up the Holidays Party November 24th from 7 to 9 p.m. on Bourbon Street. This event follows the Holiday Homecoming Electric Light Parade in downtown St Charles for families who are in town to continue the celebration.

Santa's Elves are busy preparing for the holiday season and guests and visitors are invited into Santa's Workshop on Bourbon Street for the fun. For a small fee, families can choose from a variety of holiday crafts and activities like making a gingerbread house, creating an ornament, designing a stocking, decorating a snowflake, and of course Christmas cookie decorating. Santa's Workshop will be open during the Light Up the Holidays Party. November 25th through December 23rd Santa's Workshop will be open Friday 4 to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m.to 2 p.m.

Wear your fanciest ugly holiday sweater and get a Grinch cocktail for just $5 in one of the Pheasant Run bars. This cocktail features Peach Schnapps, Bacardi Rum, Blue Curacao, orange juice, and sprite and is the perfect compliment to the overdose of holiday cheer at the Christmas Light Spectacular. This specialty cocktail is available during the Light Up the Holidays Party and then daily November 25th through December 21st for Ugly Holiday Sweater Happy Hour from 4 to 6 p.m.
