All of tonight's finalists are winners; they have beaten off stiff competition to reach the finals. Congratulations to you all." Dee Scully, Guest Services Manager of headline sponsor The Glades, said: "It's fantastic to be sponsoring tonight's awards. The Glades is an integral part of Bromley. We have over 20 million visitors a year to the shopping centre, so it's good to raise our profile and support local businesses. Our Plan G initiative helps small businesses to develop and grow from small acorns to big oaks. Congratulations to all of tonight's finalists and winners on their hard work throughout the year, which is what it takes to win an award. The recognition you get as a result is tremendous for your business." Tracey Davis, Vice-Principal of sponsor London South East Colleges, said: "We're thrilled to be supporting the awards tonight. It's really important that we're connected with local businesses, because as employers they help shape our curriculum. We want to make sure we meet the demand of the industries within the area and help our students achieve the skills they need to gain work." Sharon Baldwin, Executive Director of Orpington 1st, said: "I think it's particularly important in the current, challenging environment for high streets and businesses that we celebrate success, and that we have the opportunity to get together, see what good service is all about, hear other people's stories, learn from one another and put that into practice going forward. A lot of businesses have their heads down, concentrating on making a profit and doing the best they can. It's important they take time out to understand what they do well and to recognise their success for their staff, their customers and to promote themselves." Presided over by Sarah Duffy, entertainment broadcaster and presenter of ITV2's FYI Daily bulletin, the awards were handed out by category sponsors in front of an audience of over 180 people from across the local business community, following a gala three-course dinner. The sponsors were: The Glades, Bromley Healthcare, London & South East Colleges, Splash Damage, Shampan Group, Aces Trading Ltd, BEAP Restaurants Ltd (McDonald's franchise), News Shopper, Your Bromley, Orpington 1st and the London Borough of Bromley.
