LOS ANGELES - Dec. 10, 2018 - PRLog -- Mandy May Cheetham has won a prestigious Award of Excellence for Best Leading Actress from the IndieFEST Film Awards. The award was given for Cheetham's exciting portrayal of Mandy Jones in MUTHA, the short form series created for truTV and their anthology series Rachel Dratch's Late Night Snack by comedy cool-kids Abso Lutley Productions, and Executive Produced by Tim Heidecker, Eric Wareheim, Dave Kneebone and Van Johnson. MUTHA is the story of a suburban housewife who fantasizes about becoming a rapper and features original music based on Cheetham's life as a three-time champion hip hop karaoke rapper and Mom.

"Playing a character so close to my own life was very freeing. It gave me the chance to express on screen what I wish I could express in my everyday life," says Cheetham of the role.
