By: Dynasty League With the likes of Ronald "Flip" Murray (NBA veteran, Seattle Sonics, Detroit Pistons, Atlanta Hawks), Marc Jackson (NBA Veteran, Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers & Temple Star), Rick Brunson (New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls & Temple star), Alvin Williams (Toronto Raptors, Villanova Star), Rodney "Hot Rod" Odrick (Overseas Pro Veteran), Aaron "AO" Owens (AND1 Mixtape Tour, Ball4Real World Tour & Streetball Legend), Mike Anderson (Pro Veteran, Drexel Star), Mike Vreeswyk (Overseas Pro Veteran & Temple Star), and Jeff Myers (NBA, Temple), amongst so many legends, fans won't be disappointed. Dynasty League is brought to you by Fahreed Cheatham (CEO/Commissioner) Dynasty League came about through Philadelphia's friendly rivalry between leagues, and was conceived in answer to a competitor's move towards The Alumni League demographic. As the rival league was established with a slightly older player and audience demographic, The Alumni League management team had to answer the rival's move, with a move of their own. And so the "Philly 40 & Over League", the original name for "Dynasty League" was conceived. The call was publicly put out to the legendary players of Philadelphia Basketball on November 14, 2018, and within 5 days, 9 teams had signed up. Hot Rod Odrick immediately got together an elite team within days, and was instrumental in getting word out there to the other legends. Founder, CEO & Commissioner, Fahreed Cheatham noted, "Dynasty League was modeled after the Hank Gathers Rec Center Basketball League, a mecca for talented basketball players in years past, and named after the late, great Hank Gathers. Legendary players including SadEye Watson, Derrick Gathers, Hot-Rod Odrick, Jeff Meyers, Bo Kimble & Mike Anderson continued to compete at a high level post-career. These elite players became known as "The Legends of Philly Basketball". VP & Partner, Elisa O'Keefe-Smith, in response to the subject of Philadelphia's friendly rivalry, added, "It's just business. One has to have lived and breathed Philadelphia to understand the essence of friendly rivalry, which is entertainment itself, to say the very least. Dynasty League is what Philadelphia needs. It's what this city is all about. Legends and friendly rivalry." Looking forward to watching a successful first Winter 2018/2019 Season of Dynasty League. ABOUT THE "DYNASTY LEAGUE" Dynasty League was created with a vision to bring back to Philadelphia, the rich tradition of elite basketball competition for ex-NBA, ex-Pro and ex-Street Legend players. To create a basketball platform rich in history, where the younger generation of basketballers can learn, be mentored, and inspired by the legends.
