Dave Rogers releases new single 'Slow Funk'

TRENTON, N.J. - Dec. 18, 2018 - PRLog -- The veteran singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer of RnB and soul music known as Dave Rogers has released his latest official single, "Slow Funk." New Jersey's Dave Rogers cites as main artistic influences Sly Stone, Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Miles, Marvin Gaye, the Isley Brothers, and Ed Townsend. Dave Rogers began his career in music on the top shelf working with Marvin Gaye on songs that would be included on Gaye's monumental "Let's Get It On" album. He recorded his first music for Al Bell, owner of Stax Records. After attending Fisk University and the Berklee College of Music, Rogers worked for years as a session player and creative director for Ed Townsend Productions.

Rogers has worked with Esther Phillips, Shirley Scott, David Johnson (Little Caesar and the Romans), Charles Brown, Martha Reeves, The Vandellas, the West Coast Drifters, and others. He has published music under CherryTown-3TR publishing, Jobete Music, and Peer Southern International.
