By: AC Gallery Karen-Eileen Gordon is best known for her role as Florence, Jeffery Dean Morgan's feisty secretary, on television's Magic City. Magic City, of course, is the nickname for Miami, where the show took place, and Gordon says she,"Fell in love with the Miami vibe." Gallery Owner Benitez says, "Karen is really the embodiment of Miami to L.A. " Russian born star Anna Kulinova is best know for her role as part of an all star ensemble in Gary Marshall's hit film Valentines Day. According to Benitez, "We have artists that come here from all over the world. Miami and Los Angeles both have very diverse populations, and Anna is the embodiment of that vast cultural diversity." The show is open primarily to independent, emerging artists seeking to present projects and works in an intimate, established gallery setting while gaining invaluable experience to further their respective careers. LA|MIAMI ART SHOW will showcase over 40 artists working in contemporary fine art at AC Gallery's 4,000 square foot gallery space in all media types including Abstract, Art Objects, Conceptual, Craft, Minimalist, Photography, Pop Art, Representational, Sculpture and Works on Paper with limited edition prints and artist merchandise. An extensive range of art at varying price points will make ownership of emerging artists' work more accessible to all visitors and collectors. AC Gallery was founded in 2012 and located adjacent to the famed Hollywood & Highland Center and Hollywood Walk of Fame, with participation at the Wynwood Arts District during Miami Art Week. AC Gallery resident artist Linzi Lynn will be premiering a solo exhibition of her expressionistic paintings. Finished in exquisite polished brass frames, the works will illuminate the White Cube exhibition space inside AC Gallery for the first time. Lynn will also debut her latest painting number 93, THE ESCAPE, as well as her first foray into vibrant sculptural works. A collaborative fashion showcase will give presence to her expressive subjects during the opening night. Previous AC Gallery exhibiting artist Patrick Curtet will be showcasing face-mounted plexiglass works from his debut solo exhibition that draw from the New Wave of America cinema, reflecting on the influence of Classic Hollywood with films such as Bonnie & Clyde, Wild at Heart, and Bullit re-imagined and brought back to life in Curtet's clever contemporary tableaus. Ahead of his summer solo exhibition, new AC Gallery artist Bill Dobbins will debut photographic works featuring women bodybuilders. The showcase will be a precursor to a tribute to the dedication of unveiling the strength and passion possessed within the female form - from the very simplest to the most complex - a statement of real beauty and true grit naturally coexisting to the point where all things become possible and the drama of life plays itself out right before our very eyes. In partnership with Artsy,LA|MIAMI ART SHOW VIP Premier Night is set for Saturday, January 26th, from 8pm-11pm .
