By: United Premier Soccer League Based in Chesterfield (Va.), LOKO Football Club will begin UPSL play in the Southeast Conference Mid-Atlantic Division, and is exploring its venue options in compliance with UPSL's Minimum Standards. United Premier Soccer League Southeast Conference Manager Andy Salandy said, "LOKO Football Club is a great addition to the UPSL's growing group of teams in Virginia. LOKO Football Club will bring in quality players from the Richmond, Va., area and we're excited to add quality clubs from the Commonwealth to the Mid-Atlantic Division." LOKO Football Club won the 2018 Central Virginia Soccer Association (CVSA) Division 1 champions and a Virginia State Cup participant. The club will continue to operate its Reserve Team in the CVSA, which is sanctioned by the United State Soccer Federation (USSF) and United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) through its membership in the Metropolitan D.C.-Virginia Soccer Association (MDCVSA). Thomas Luck, 31, is Chief Executive Officer of LOKO Football Club. A native of Virginia, Luck was a former Olympic Development Program (ODP) participant and played two years of varsity soccer at Chester (Va.)'s Thomas Dale High School, which he helped lead to its first Virginia State championship in 2005. He currently holds a USSF 'E' Coaching License. LOKO Football Club CEO Thomas Luck said, "We started as an amateur club and now we want to take the next step into Pro Development, and we want to represent Chesterfield, Va., and the strong soccer culture here. LOKO Football Club has grown into this and it's time to move to a league with a national stage and build the club with new experiences in the UPSL. We've climbed up the ranks in the CVSA and won titles along the way in the largest amateur league in Virginia, and now it's time and we're excited to join the UPSL." The club will announce tryout dates and its upcoming UPSL game schedule.
