Remeha boilers "obvious choice" for building services consultancy

WOKINGHAM, U.K. - Jan. 9, 2019 - PRLog -- A leading international property, infrastructure and construction consultancy company has selected Remeha Quinta Pro boilers as the "obvious choice" to improve the reliability and efficiency of the heating service at its re-opened offices in Wolverhampton.

RPS Consulting is part of the RPS Group which employs around 2,000 people in the UK and Ireland and 5,000 around the world. Now this division, which provides building services, architecture, civil engineering, and landscape architecture consultancy services, has relocated to its former offices in Wolverhampton.

The firm focuses on improving energy efficiency in the built environment. So, on finding that its offices were relying on a dated, inefficient cast iron boiler and burner for heating, RPS Consulting were quick to act.

David Callaghan, RPS Operational Director explained:

"The existing boiler was extremely inefficient and wasteful. There was therefore a sound business case for replacing the old non-condensing boiler with high-efficiency, low NOx condensing boilers – both from an environmental and a financial perspective."

David specified two Remeha Quinta Pro 90 boilers to meet the heat demand.

"Remeha boilers offer very good operational efficiencies," he said. "But equally importantly, wherever we have specified them, our clients have consistently found them to be reliable and robust. For us, they were the obvious choice."

RMC Mechanical Services Ltd from Wolverhampton installed the new boilers. RMC install many Remeha boilers in the West Midlands area and have found the Quinta Pro boilers "very easy to install and ultra reliable".

Installation and positioning of the new Remeha boilers was quick and simple, thanks to their compact, lightweight design. Nor was space an issue, given the large footprint of the boiler they were replacing.

Flueing, however, was a consideration as the flues needed to discharge through the side wall rather than through the roof.

David continued: "Due to the site constraints, the boilers needed to be individually flued with a room-sealed concentric flue. Fortunately, the Remeha flue kit accommodates all of these requirements."

With the Remeha boilers now commissioned, RPS Consulting is anticipating a warm, comfortable office environment and the prospect of considerable gas savings from the upgrade to high-efficiency condensing boilers.

The Quinta Pro wall-hung condensing boiler range delivers high gross seasonal efficiencies of 95% for greater than average energy savings, combined with ultra-low NOx emissions. Its extremely compact design makes it suitable for individual installation or as part of a multi-boiler cascade or rig system. The availability of bespoke rig options and comprehensive cascade systems for up to eight boilers in-line or back-to-back enables greater flexibility in plant room design flexibility and time-saving installation.

The Quinta Pro is suitable for use on sealed systems and open-vented installations and perfect for both new and retrofit installations. It is available in 30, 45, 55, 65, 90 and 115kW output models.
