New Medical/Fashion Invention Targets Broken Arm and Cast Sleeves Market

PORTLAND, Ore. - Jan. 21, 2019 - PRLog -- Castfits®, a new entry into the cast sleeve medical/fashion products market, today announced the launch of the start-up's signature line of designer cast sleeves manufactured from sustainable, recycled plastics; a new website to represent the line; and, delivery of the first 200 products for sale.

Huggins, a Physician's Assistant certified in orthopedics, is preparing to take the new product line to regional orthopedic practices, medical supply shops; as well as making the sleeves available through a number of online, digital stores.

The cast sleeves themselves are manufactured using an environmentally sensitive, sustainable fabric called Repreve®, which is constructed of 80 percent recycled bottles and 20 percent Spandex®.  This sets them apart from other similar products.

"We aim to make wearing a cast more enjoyable, so our designs are quite unique," says Huggins. "I have one patriotic theme "we the people" was made specifically to honor the veterans as I have served in the VA for over 25 years; complemented by a number of designs that will appeal to children, both boys and girls."

According to the company, data from the last 40 years demonstrates an increasing incidence of wrist and arm fractures that often require casting for up-to three months. Due to an increase in youth sports, a lot of these fractures are now occurring in children.
