Businesses with Heart Event Teaches Businesses and Non-Profits to Work Together

LAS VEGAS - Jan. 22, 2019 - PRLog -- On January 31st, the 5th Businesses with Heart Expo will be held at United Way of Southern Nevada. The event will feature vendors, networking, educational speakers, and a ribbon cutting for the first ever Cause Marketing Chamber of Commerce. A portion of proceeds from the event will benefit Hearts Alive Village Animal Rescue.

About Guy Dawson

Guy Dawson is the managing member of Classy Communications, a boutique PR agency in Las Vegas. No stranger to the business world, he began his entrepreneurial journey at the age of 12. Having served on the board of Mia's Pet Food Pantry, and now on the board of Spirit Therapies, he understands the importance of businesses in supporting local non-profits. "After almost four years of hosting Business with Heart events, we saw an opportunity to serve the community at a higher level," said Dawson. "We feel that developing the chamber will benefit both businesses and non-profits."

About Sheryl Green

With a background in fiction writing, storytelling for businesses was an obvious segue into the business world. She now works with businesses to understand and communicate their message. Green also serves as the Director of Communications and Cuddling for Hearts Alive Village Animal Rescue and has seen firsthand how challenging fundraising for a non-profit can be. She incorporates Cause Marketing into the "must have" stories for any business and creating the Chamber was just a natural progression. "We have a responsibility as business owners to create a better community," said Green. "There are a lot of philanthropic individuals out there who want to help but don't know how. This chamber will be their vehicle to improve the world."

The Businesses with Heart Winter Expo will be held from 1pm to 5 pm with the Cause Marketing Chamber ribbon cutting at approximately 1:15. It will be followed by open networking and then educational presentations from Sheryl Green, Don Lainer, CEO of Platinum Elite Group, Angela Carlson, N.D and Hansilena Roberts. The event will also feature vendors and complementary headshots from Las Vegas Event Photography.  Sponsors of the event include Rob Martinez with Liberty Mutual Insurance, Yes Of Course Cellular Accessories, Peak Image Design, Coast 2 Coast Printing, and LVIP Dining.
