Compass Insurance Agency unviels Special Olympics Michigan as their "Charity of The Year"

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Jan. 23, 2019 - PRLog -- It is a tradition that is ingrained in every Compass Insurance Agency employee: The Annual Compass Charity Fundraiser. Every year Compass employees compete against one another in teams to see which team can raise the most amount of money for a local charity or organization. This year the company has partnered with the Special Olympics Michigan Chapter.

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Athletes are given continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness and athletic skill, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.

On top of raising money for the non-profit, Compass employees will also be volunteering at the Summer Olympics come May. Compass Marketing Manager, Fuad Hasanovic, had this to say about the opportunity - "It's great! I am looking forward to the opportunity to not only be able to contribute to such a great cause with our fundraiser, but also to interact with the athletes and volunteer at the Summer Games. Being on the council for the Special Olympics Michigan also makes it even sweeter as I get to show the other Compass employees what SOMI is all about"
