Born To Read, Inc. Receives Grant from The Bargain Box of Hilton Head Island

BEAUFORT, S.C. - Jan. 24, 2019 - PRLog -- Born To Read, Inc. is excited to announce it has received grant funding from The Bargain Box of Hilton Head Island, SC. Funds are to be used at Hilton Head and Coastal Carolina Hospitals and workshops for families in the Hilton Head area.

The Bargain Box, at its discretion, donates the net proceeds from the sales in its Thrift Store to qualified Beaufort County charitable agencies in the form of cash grants. The Bargain Box also provides in-kind support to various local agencies - primarily from donated items.

The Bargain Box was established in 1965 by three ladies from First Presbyterian Church as a shopping option for the working residents of Hilton Head Island.  By 1970 it was generating enough revenues to provide monetary support to local social agencies and charities, and it was incorporated as a stand-alone 501(c)(3) organization.
