She studied classical music and performance at the Applied Music Program at Santa Monica College in Los Angeles and went on to finish her Bachelors in fine arts (jazz vocal performance) An accomplished band leader, she leads her own Quartet, "Anna Louise Andersson & The Fellas", which focuses on bridging the gap between genres by creating songs and arrangements that have the element of surprise and curiosity for the listener. The group recorded an EP in 2015, called "Tiger Loose...". Alex "Apolo" Ayala: Puerto Rican Bassist Alex "Apolo" Ayala embodies the spirit of the multilingual musician. His vast knowledge of both Latin music and Jazz languages makes him one of the few bilingual bassists in the music scene. A native from San Juan, Puerto Rico, he blends his Afro-Caribbean roots with the jazz language, which enables him to pace himself through swing, bebop, blues, bomba, plena and explorations through other Latin-American expressions (Samba/Bossa, Tango, Afro-Peruvian, Afro-Colombian, Afro-Venezuelan) GingerNewYork found on Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN) since launching in November, 2010, has been showcasing the "Kool Kats…Gotham Nights" greats of music and culture of New York and beyond.
