Follow on Google News | New York Theater Festival Presents: Limited Engagement, a Comedy About DeathDedicated with Love to the LGBTQ Community and the Ongoing Fight Against A.I.D.S.
With illness itself taking a backseat in a modern dark comedy production, this cast, and script is a departure from traditional portraits. Instead the story digs deeper into the lives around those afflicted, who often go unnoticed but are forever altered by the disease's path. To continue the fight, a portion of every ticket sale will go to Broadway Cares: Equity Fights A.I.D.S. The production is set to stage, as a "show-within- Featured in the ensemble cast are famed actor Thomas Cambridge, who plays Tommy a successful Broadway Director and all around vile human being. Cambridge won his first acting award after being cast in the lead role of a short film submitted to the 2014 48-Hour Film Project and is currently shooting scenes for the mob comedy feature film Good Friday. Drew Hanley, the noted Versace campaign model featured on SNL and Oxygen's STRUT is making his theater debut as Harry - a successful actor and Tommy's ex-lover. They are set to match with Chad Tyler, a veteran actor with more than twenty years of stage, film, and industrial credits across the eastern coast. Tyler was recently featured on the finale of Netflix's House of Cards and HBO's K Street, and VEEP. Tyler is a proud member of the SAG LGBT Committee and his character Mark is Tommy's brother. Rouding out this strong cast is Lisa Rochlin, who personifies Linda - an award-winning Broadway actress, Tommy's ex-wife, and Mark's current wife. Rochin brings more than fifteen years of strong theater experience to this New York City scene. Her film and television credits include: With Love by Courtney Beck, and Peace and Quiet by Whitney Simon. ABOUT THE CAST: Thomas Cambridge is an award-winning actor living in New York City. He spent over 20 years on Wall Street before commencing his acting and writing career at the Upright Citizens Brigade in 2013. Cambridge won his first acting award after being cast in the lead role of a short film submitted to the 2014 48-Hour Film Project. Cambridge is currently shooting scenes for the mob comedy feature film Good Friday. He recently appeared in a television episode of Dead of Winter. His new Indie thriller film In the Shadows, is to be released to the film festival circuit in early 2019. Cambridge is the principle role of Tommy in Limited Engagement. Lisa is the principle role of Linda in Limited Engagement Drew Hanley was trained at the prestigious Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York. Hanley's most recent TV acting credits include appearances on NBC's SNL and Oxygen's STRUT. Hanley is famed for his modeling work at New York Models, most recently appearing in a Versace campaign shot by Bruce Webber. He is making his theater debut in Limited Engagement as the principle role of Harry.
