NEW YORK - Feb. 21, 2019 - PRLog -- More women on tour want single rooms. This increase is despite the surcharge that hotels levy on single occupancy. The reason is that more of the existing female traveling population has prior business trip experience than did predecessors. Business trip experience included expectation of single rooms and  4+star hotels.

50% of the women do not know their electronic devices' cost or services overseas. Typical mistakes are assuming a phone will work overseas or not understanding roaming vs wifi, wifi texting vs. phone line texting.

More women are upgrading with money rather than miles. This is in part due to new classes of airline service which bridge economy vs. business class.

There is a spike in last minute bookings, even for retired women. This might be due to changes in our tax laws, volatility of the stock market and related consumer confidence.

More solo women travelers are married or in relationships. Men are aging more rapidly than women leaving the latter healthier to travel, even in their 80's.

The Women's Travel Group is a New York based 27 year old company specializing in small group, unusual destinations for women from North America and Canada.
