Firefighters host all-ages show to raise funds for Mary's Place and Babies of Homelessness

SEATTLE - Feb. 21, 2019 - PRLog -- Four Seattle bands are coming together to support the Northshore Fire Foundation's (https://www.northshorefire.com/) benefit show at West Seattle' Skylark bar this Friday to raise funds for Mary's Place and Babies of Homelessness.

"Firefighters encounter opportunities every day to assist the citizens we serve. Sometimes we provide a warm coat, baby food, diapers, shelter, and even educate the public on resources that are available for those that qualify," said Northshore Fire Foundation Chair, John Burrow. "It's not enough to identify the problem. As a community, we also need to come together and be part of the solution. That's why we are teaming up with four local Seattle bands Asterhouse (https://www.asterhousehq.info/), Gypsy Temple (https://www.gypsytemplemusic.com/), Booboolala (https://www.booboolala.com/), and Ian Hale and The Legacy (http://www.ianhaleandthelegacy.com/) to raise funds to support local organizations who are positively impacting people's lives every day."

Northshore Fire will use part of the money raised to buy winter coats from Operation Warm (https://www.operationwarm.org/) for Mary's Place. The rest of the funds will be donated to Babies of Homelessness.

Music fans who want to support Mary's Place and Babies of Homelessness can pay a $10 cover at the door at the Skylark https://www.skylarkcafe.com/.  The show that starts at 8:00pm, make a cash donation at the show, donate online (https://www.paypal.com/signin?forceLogin=false&return...) and participate in a raffle and auction at the show.

"It is always a great honor for us to use our music in the service of an important cause," said Asterhouse's John Thomburg. "We are excited to be supporting Northshore Fire Foundation as they raise money to help combat homelessness."
