The Center for Contemporary Art Summer Art Camps Registration Underway

BEDMINSTER, N.J. - Feb. 26, 2019 - PRLog -- Registration is underway for Summer Art Camps at The Center for Contemporary Art. Ten weekly Summer Art Camps, from June 24 – August 30, are offered for children ages five through teens in either full- or half-day sessions. The Center's Summer Art Camps are designed to stimulate creative expression through projects and fun activities that change each week. All sessions are led by professional and creative teaching artists. There will be a supervised lunch for full-day campers. The Center will also offer camps for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special needs on Saturdays in July and August.

Parents love The Center's art camps because their children develop important artistic techniques and learn about the principles of visual art, historical periods, and well-known artists. Comments from parents of past campers include: "My son couldn't wait to get to camp each day!"; "Great range of work. I couldn't believe how much they accomplished in just one week."; "My daughter really enjoyed it! The art teachers were excellent and very caring!"

Morning and afternoon programs, for children ages 5-8 and 9-11, allow students to go in-depth while exploring painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, pottery and more! This year The Center has introduced a new series of intensive themed camps designed just for teens which include: Drawing from a Model, Portfolio Development, Chinese Brush Painting, Printmaking Without a Press, Painting Intensive, Graffiti, Portrait Drawing, Book Illustration, Cartooning, iPad Drawing & Painting, Photography and more.
