Follow on Google News | There is a Season for Everything and a Time for every Delight and Event or Purpose under HeavenGod has Appointed fixed Laws for the well-being of Man. In His infinite wisdom, He has also given him an Awareness of another Life. It is to Man's best interest to obey these Laws, consoling himself with the fact of their Immutability and Benevolence
Surprisingly, he says, there are more than 800 verses in the Bible where God declares He is concerned with times, seasons and cycles. That should tell us that every second we have in life is a gift from God. Has it ever occurred to you, says Langston that for you to cease living, God would not have to take your life? All God has to do is stop giving you time. "Your time is in His hands". You are a steward of the time He has given you. This book gives you an insider's look at an often quoted, but misunderstood Verse of scripture, Ecclesiastes Chapter 3 and Verse 1, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens". Langston says he believes this verse more so than any other, sums up our times and seasons of life. We have 86,400 seconds in a day no more, no less. The question we need to ask ourselves is, "How do we redeem our 86,400 seconds each day to the glory of God"? God can do more in a second than all man has done in centuries together. Langston writes that life at time can seem cold and uncaring. You seem to be locked up in your own private prison with no way out. However, there is a way out! He adds that it's not about who or whom you know that gets you through life, but it's Who knows you—Jesus Christ. The question that we need to ask ourselves is if we are His? Is He our Father? Do we love Him more today than a thousand yesteryears? One day soon, you will need to answer those and other questions, but do not delay, the hour draws nigh that He will soon return for His Bride. Langston continues with this thought, "It's important to understand that seasons occur and to know what season in which you are currently living". When we don't understand this concept of seasons—especially in the bad seasons—we can begin to believe that seasons never change. We may stop trusting. Stop dreaming. Stop believing God for the impossible. Although life comes in seasons, seasons do change. Sometimes quickly. And sometimes seasons overlap each other. When we find ourselves in a good season—especially an extended good season—we can start to take the season for granted. We may even forget that seasons change, and so we aren't prepared. Take a minute and reflect: What season of life you are currently experiencing? Review your life by how the seasons have molded you. God never wastes a season. Langston concludes with these words, "Life happens in seasons. Ask God to place in your heart what He wants you to learn during this specific season of your life. Invite God to speak into your seasons". Please contact the author directly for interviews, media appearances, book signings, and speaking engagements.
