Project Know Celebrates Women's History Month and National Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

WASHINGTON - March 3, 2019 - PRLog -- Project Know launched last month and is dedicated to building a HIV/AIDS Awareness Community.  Their "Because of you we know more…" apparel honors victims of HIV/AIDS. On the heels of Black History Month and focusing on some of the famous black men who passed from AIDS complications for National HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, Project Know is now paying homage to the women.

National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is a good opportunity to continue the conversation on HIV/AIDS. (RED) reports AIDS as "the number leading cause of death of young women worldwide".

Throughout the month, Project Know will be sharing stories of women who publicly battled HIV/AIDS.  Some of the featured women are Kimberly Bergalis, Gia Carangi, and Sharon Redd.  Project Know will also keep you updated on different events taking place across the country throughout the month of March.

You can check out Project Know for stories and events.  If you would like a shirt to represent for NWGHAAD, shop the special edition items on their online store.  Visit Project Know at http://www.theprojectknow.org
