New Executive Director to Lead Beyster Institute at the Rady School of Management

SAN DIEGO - March 5, 2019 - PRLog -- The Beyster Institute at the Rady School of Management at UC San Diego recently selected Kim Blaugher as its new executive director. Blaugher brings with him an exceptionally strong background in employee ownership. Trained as a CPA, with a Master of Taxation degree, Blaugher has more than 30 years of experience as a CPA and consultant in the employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) field. Blaugher has spent the past 20 years with the Principal Financial Group, where he was a vice president and senior consultant, leading all of Principal's ESOP consulting work in the western U.S.

Blaugher is held in high regard by his professional peers in the ESOP field, as reflected by his role as chair of the Western ESOP Summit, an association of ESOP professional advisors. He is by consensus a leading expert in ESOP transactions and ESOP administration. He also is an active and highly respected contributor to the other leading associations in the ESOP field, including the National Center for Employee Ownership, the ESOP Association and the Employee-Owned S Corporations of America.

The institute's past executive director, Martin Staubus, will remain with the Beyster Institute as a senior staff member before retiring within the next few years.
