Stephanie Smith earns National Certification

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - March 5, 2019 - PRLog -- The American Board of Opticianry (ABO) is pleased to announce that Stephanie Smith, Board Certified Optician has demonstrated the knowledge, skills and expertise necessary for the practice of Opticianry by passing the American Board of Opticianry National Competency Examination in February 2019.

Opticianry certification in the United States is a voluntary process. Ms. Smiths' certification reflects her commitment and expertise in consistently achieving superior outcomes in a responsive, patient-focused setting. Certification by an ABO member involves a rigorous process of testing and peer evaluation that is designed and administered by specialists in the field. To demonstrate their leadership, ABO certification also requires proof of continuing education and experience in between testing for re-certification.

The American Board of Opticianry (ABO) is a non-profit organization, which administers voluntary certification examinations for Dispensing Opticians. The purposes are to identify qualified eyewear providers by examination, urge growth of optical skills with continuing education and approve continuing education programs.
