Follow on Google News | Dr Peter Yeh Of Access Sports Medicine To Present At the Plaistow Area Commerce ExchangeNetwork and Learn About The Sports Medicine Approach to Treating Workplace Injuries
Network with other local professionals and learn the ins-and-outs of treating workplace injuries using the sports medicine approach. Dr. Yeh has been in the practice of taking care of shoulder and sports medicine injuries since 2011. He joined Access Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics in 2018. Dr. Yeh specializes in treating shoulder, elbow, hip and knee conditions and focuses on arthroscopic and minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Yeh was an engineer and consequently became a surgeon as he enjoys the human side of medicine, listening carefully to and addressing every patient's needs. Dr. Yeh's main focus is to get every patient, whether athlete or worker, back "into the game." Dr. Yeh believes that not every condition needs to have surgery and where appropriate, a gentle, always attentive, guiding hand along with nonoperative modalities may be enough to get that person back to work or sports in the fastest, most efficient and safest way possible. Surgery, however, may ultimately be necessary to treat certain orthopaedic conditions. In the shoulder, Dr. Yeh has special interest in the arthroscopic surgical treatment of rotator cuff tears, labral tears and arthritic conditions. In the knee, Dr. Yeh's interest include cartilage and meniscal problems as well as ACL and other ligamentous injuries. He also has an interest in cartilage restoration techniques in the knee. In the elbow, Dr. Yeh did research on triceps and biceps tendon injuries as well as ulnar collateral ligament injuries as he trained at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles where the Tommy John surgery was first performed. In the hip, Dr. Yeh is trained in hip arthroscopy, repairing labral tears and treating femoroacetabular impingement as well as hip tendon injuries. Dr. Yeh has extensive experience taking care of athletes. He was previously team physician at Bentley University and has been actively involved in taking care of athletes at the professional level, including the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Kings, Los Angeles Angels, and Anaheim Ducks. Outside of taking care of patients and athletes, Dr. Yeh is an invited speaker at many conferences and tremendously enjoys teaching students and fellow surgeons on new techniques. Dr. Yeh is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA). The cost of this luncheon is $20 for PACE members and $25 for non-members. Please RSVP to pacenh@yahoo.com by March 12, 2019.
