PRLog -- Today, the need for environmental awareness is more than ever. Since the 20
th century, human influences are the greatest cause for environmental degradation. The carbon footprint due to individual or industrial activities can be reduced by taking some measures. Koenig Solutions, an IT training company, has actively taken steps to decrease their carbon footprint and be an environmentally responsible organization. Koenig is a leading authorized learning partner for Cisco, AWS, Microsoft, Oracle among many other leading IT certifications.
They have many training methods, including, classroom-training at one of Koenig's state-of-the-
art campuses, Instructor-led online training and Private Event at Customer Location. By implementing AI-powered Automation, Koenig has successfully started carpooling for both trainers and students. A vehicle on average has a carbon emission of around 4.6 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year. Koenig estimated by reducing their number of trips by half, they have protected the environment of hundreds of tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. They also make sure that their trainers are utilised based on their distance from the training destination. For every 1000 miles, an aircraft emits 0.1 tonnes of carbon dioxide. Koenig, by using its Automation tool has saved an estimated 3.12 million miles of flight travel in the year 2018 and has reduced carbon emissions by an astounding 312 metric tonnes of carbon emission. This is a commendable achievement for a growing IT company like Koenig Solutions. They have also consciously reduced travel for interviews and meetings many of which are now conducted through Skype and other applications.
Carbon emissions due to laptops and other IT equipment are also increasing more than ever. To play its part in reducing this number, Koenig has adopted a policy of BYOL (Bring-Your-
Own-Laptop), where students are strongly advised to bring their own laptops for training classes, to reduce the carbon emission of around 300 kg of carbon dioxide is released per laptop per year. By training 7,000 students annually, through their different delivery methods, Koenig reduces an estimated 1.8 tonnes of carbon dioxide emission per year.
To reduce plastic consumption, Koenig gives employees and students Koenig branded re-usable metal bottles at the commencement of their job or training course, respectively. Koenig has also started planting one tree for every international student trained in any one of their campuses. These trees are planted at their Dehradun Campus (

Koenig is actively taking steps in order to reduce the threats caused by global warming. They are leading by example for other Indian IT enterprises to help improve air quality and be an environmentally aware organisation.
