HOUSTON - March 17, 2019 - PRLog -- Roo, a San Francisco and Houston-based startup, has launched an efficient and empowering platform connecting veterinary professionals to veterinary hospitals, starting in Houston. The online service enables hospitals to fulfill short-term personnel needs while allowing high-quality professionals to easily secure freelance work. Roo is the first ever freelance marketplace community just for animal professionals.

The veterinary field is incredibly demanding, and work-life balance is increasingly difficult to achieve. On Roo's brand new platform, veterinary hospitals can post shifts in real time, allowing doctors to plan vacations or even call in sick, something they are rarely able to do. Relief veterinarians can fill these shifts according to their own availability, skills and preferences. All of this ensures that the clients' needs are met without any interruption of quality and compassionate service. Think of it as Uber-meets-Facebook for professionals in the animal field.

Roo also allows each user to create a detailed profile, giving them the opportunity to learn about one another prior to scheduling shifts. As the community grows so will the platform, with more enhanced communication channels promoting supportive dialogue between users.

Roo's platform is currently serving Houston, Texas, with services rolling out to the rest of the state and ultimately providing nationwide support at the click of a button.
