Follow on Google News | DC Youth Lead City-Wide Earth Day EventAs part of this year's Earth Day; Protect Our Species, Earth Day 2019 commemoration
By: ENF Rangers Included in the Earth Day event are STEM projects, art displays, essay presentations from school children around the city, and performances by ENF Rangers. Presentations from renewable energy companies and environmental organizations are also scheduled. "We really want to impress upon schools and family participants the importance of doing their small part to save the planet – as small efforts turn into large movements," ENF Founder and CEO, Allen C. Burriss said. "We've incorporated fun, games, and environmental displays and presentations into the day and we are sure it will have a phenomenal impact on attendees. We want our young people to understand they can be a force for good and they have the power to save the planet by being responsible citizens of the Earth. They are "Earth's Natural Force!" Please join with us, Earth's Natural Force Connections (ENFC), along with our supporters, Mayor Muriel Bowser's Office of Community Relations and Services, and Councilman Brandon Todd's Office, as we host a city-wide Earth Day Environmental Expo at Emery Heights Community Center, 5701 Georgia Avenue NW, Washington, DC on Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. Please direct any ENF Rangers specific questions to Ms. Denise Burriss at 202-285-9026 or denise.burriss@ For additional information on ENF's Earth Day 2019, visit enfrangers.org (https://www.enfrangers.org/ ABOUT ENF: ENFC, a 501(c)3 multicultural children's environmental organization, has as its mission to reach and teach our youth, at a very young age, about their responsibility to care for and protect the environment. Their goal is to heighten the consciousness of young people to take care of their neighborhoods, schools and communities. This is accomplished by encouraging youth to stop littering, recycle trash, and give them a clear understanding of how their positive actions can maintain and even improve their communities.
