Jazz Guitarist Fareed Haque to Tour Several Cities

NEW YORK - March 21, 2019 - PRLog -- After playing in Beijing, China on April 4 and 5, critically acclaimed jazz guitarist Fareed Haque is embarking on a multi-city US tour that will start on April 12 in Arlington Heights, ILL., a suburb of his native Chicago.

The following month he will perform in Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, and other locations in a series of concerts organized by the New York-based In Touch Entertainment.

"I enjoy touring because it is a unique opportunity to interact directly with live audiences, and vice-versa," Haque said.

A master of jazz and classical guitar, Haque was praised by Chicago Tribune for his "finely honed classical technique and a deep well of experience in pop music."

In addition to playing and recording with his trio and jazz quartet, as well as his larger group, the Flat Earth Ensemble, Haque has also performed with Sting and various other renowned artists. He has taken part in multiple world tours, released several albums, and has had songs included in Jazz Radio Airplay top 10.

His latest album, "Fareed Haque & Kaia String Quartet," features new Latin American music for guitar and string quartet. Released in the fall of 2018 by Delmark Records, the CD is "among best classical recordings of the year," according to the Tribune's art critic Howard Reich.

"The album beautifully blurs the lines between jazz, classical, Latin and world music," Downbeat Magazine said.
