NEW ALL-INCLUSIVE ROCKHOUNDING WEBSITE LAUNCHES

MyRockHub Centered on Community, Connection

(DALLAS, Texas) March 29, 2019 –– You Dig Rocks. We Dig You. That's the tagline of newly launched online site MyRockHub (www.myrockhub.com), from the publishers of Rock & Gem magazine. MyRockHub is billed as an all-inclusive rockhounding community, a one-stop-shop for rock enthusiasts of all interests to connect, share, shop, and learn.

"One of the many things we've observed, greatly admire, and strive to support is the inclusiveness that is prevalent in the rockhounding community," said Antoinette Rahn, MyRockHub director and Rock & Gem managing editor. "I often refer to the spirit of community I witness within rockhounding as 'a place where everyone has a seat at the table.'"

It's this spirit of community and inclusivity that forms the backbone of MyRockHub: If you are interested in any area of rocks, minerals, gems, fossils, or lapidary – from beginner to expert – there is something for you here.

"Whether that means you are on the lookout for new specimens to add to your collection, ready to learn about dig opportunities or plan your next visit to a shop or show, focused on lapidary work and then selling your creations, or a combination of any of these, MyRockHub is a place for you – a space inspired by your passion for your interests," said Rahn.

MyRockHub, a mobile- and desktop-compatible website, is being launched in stages. The first feature available to users is the Shop and Dig Locator. This function allows the user to share their location or a location of interest and view listings of nearby rock shops and dig sites, many of which are recommended by seasoned rockhounds. Each listing contains key details and built-in GPS to navigate users to their specified destination.
