MONTCLAIR, N.J. - March 29, 2019 - PRLog -- Enjoy a night out at the Montclair Art Museum (MAM) with free general admission, live music, art activities and tours, dynamic seasonal programming, and a full-service bar at Free First Thursday Night, April 4, 5–9 p.m.! Free First Thursday Nights are made possible by TD Bank.

       As always, Free First Thursday Night also presents a variety of art forms and invites visitors to get creative themselves!

Timed Activities:

5–8 p.m.  Colcha/a collaborative crochet group, join the fun!
5–8 p.m.  Info Tables with #HatNotHate - Anti Bullying Campaign with Lion Brand Yarns
5–8 p.m.  NJPAC info table
5:30–6:30 p.m.  The History of Alvin Ailey, NJPAC will present Dance Works/Montclair, Sharon Miller Dance Academy, and a performance from Montclair High School
6:30–8:30 p.m.  Art Activity Mandala Workshop
7:30–8 p.m.  Artist talk and dance performance with exhibiting artist, Siona Benjamin.

Free Tours:

6:30 p.m.  Docent-led tour of New Jersey Crafts Annual: New Directions in Fiber Art - Elevator Lobby
 Following the 6:30 tour, meet fiber artist Jan Huling as she discusses her piece entitled The Gown which is included in the Fiber Art exhibition.

Off-Site (across the street/Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Real Estate Office) 5-8 pm will feature a reception & meet the artists from the Montclair 10 exhibition. The Montclair 10 is a group of artists who work at the Montclair Art Museum and often exhibit together!

The Free First Thursday Night bar offers a variety of drinks! Museum members receive a discount on drinks at the bar.
