Sara Davis, Dallas, TX will be a 2019 Mrs. Texas Contestant

DALLAS - April 3, 2019 - PRLog -- Sara Davis, a North Dallas resident will be a contestant in the upcoming 2019 Mrs. Texas Pageant.  The Mrs. Texas Pageant is held annually at various locations around Texas.  The 2019 Pageant will be May 2-4, 2019 at the Palace Theater, Corsicana, TX.

With pageant history in the family, Sara will continue the legacy with her participation in this years' Mrs. Texas pageant.  Sara's platform is Health and Wellness for Women, in all stages of life, in all social, cultural and economic backgrounds: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  She is a firm advocate for self-care.  She adheres to the quote, "God gave us the gift of life: it's up to us to give ourselves the gift of living well" Voltaire.  Sara believes that many health conditions are avoidable when the person is informed.  Education and knowledge bring power and power brings motivation.  Sara states, "When we feel powerful, we begin to manifest the success traits of self-discipline, consistency, creativity, healthy boundaries, confidence and joy."

Inspiration comes from many people and directions in our lives.  Sara's inspiration for the Mrs. Texas Pageant comes from her Mother Thelma Porter Parros.  Her mother was not only the spiritual pillar of the family where she made sure that everyone in the house participated in church, had the opportunity to know God but was also an influencer in the Pageant world.  Thelma was chosen as the first African American woman to integrate the pageant world as Miss Subway New York 1948.  It was an event that brought a great sense of accomplishment and encouragement to the African American community as she graced the cover of Jet and Ebony magazine.
