The Monetary Architect movie to be made

Feature Film About Liberty Dollar Founder Bernard von NotHaus

LAKE CITY, Fla. - April 7, 2019 - PRLog -- Von NotHaus spent nearly eight years wondering what was going to happen to him after he was arrested and charged for counterfeiting by the federal government for the Liberty Dollar. When Bernard von NotHaus was finally sentenced in 2014, he only got three years of probation and that was reduced to only one year of probation versus the life sentence in federal prison demanded by the DOJ. Now he's happily enjoying both liberty and retirement.

However, he hasn't entirely faded into the woodwork. Recently, he was asked by Liberty Dollar Network president Kathy Hicks to design a whole new Liberty Dollar, one that will honor the legacy of the original currency while remaining within the law and helping local communities to thrive. The Liberty Dollar Network is already making its presence felt in Florida and Arizona, and those are only the beginning.

The biggest news today, however, is that others have taken notice of Mr. von NotHaus' mission to return America to a value based monetary system and his story is soon to be a feature film. "The Monetary Architect" movie will tell the story of Bernard and the thousands of activists who rallied to promote sound money backed by real silver, his arrest, trial and conviction, all engineered by the federal government to protect their fiat money scam.

"A lot of people are surprised when they find out I didn't go to prison," von NotHaus says, "but they shouldn't be. I was charged with counterfeiting because the government said the one ounce silver round we used looked too much like a quarter or a nickel, and that the American people are too stupid to know that a real silver piece isn't something the government is going to give them. They couldn't even find one creditable witness who would say I actually did anything wrong, but I was still convicted because it is currently actually illegal to use a silver or gold item in commerce."

Anne M. Tompkins, the US Attorney who prosecuted the case, said that von NotHaus was guilty of "a unique form of domestic terrorism" for trying to make a currency that was more stable than US dollars.

His response? "This is the US government we're talking about. They've got all the money, all the guns, all the force, and they're worried about some ex-surfer guy from Hawaii making his own money? Give me a break!"

Bernard von NotHaus is considered by many to be a monetary folk hero and has been honored as "the Rosa Parks of the Sound Money Movement."
