Citytech organized an in-house Innovation Competition Event

KOLKATA, India - April 19, 2019 - PRLog -- In an effort to spur innovation among its employees, Citytech organized a month-long in-house innovation competition from March 14 to April 3, 2019 where its forward-thinking and talented employees participated to evolve their thinking and explore new things on the latest trends of technology, ranging from Machine Learning to AI and Big Data.

Participants' enthusiasm was evidently noticeable and truly impossible to contain. It was, indeed, an encouraging opportunity for them to challenge themselves to innovate and come up with innovative creativity. The prime aim of this competition was to discover brilliant minds, break the barriers in traditional settings and suss out the best solutions. In the end, participants really came up with brilliant ideas and solutions.

Nierika, an AI-based face and gesture recognition solution linked to cameras, is such a brilliant solution innovated by team Contrivers to give its users a different AI experience. It can capture images of attendees in real-time facing cameras without having them to use biometric device.

IVR Automation by Digital Innovators is another unique kind of application, users of which can automate IVR system, saving time, resource and costs. Team 9Smart demonstrated how their PowerBIM – Business Intelligence Mobile Solution could be useful for a business to analyse its competitor business data on the fly and drive business growth.

Blockchain with Tensor Flow for Business Prediction is one of the innovations by team Digital Brain. No doubt blockchain is already a popular system and is common to hear about, the team pitched on how their innovation could be a solution for every issue, even that for a health issue like diabetes.

Efforts of all participants were wonderful and had uniqueness in them. "We just ignited the minds of our participants to explore new ways and brainstorm new ideas that could influence changes and benefit users," revealed an HR executive of Citytech. The goal of this event was also to create a competitive work culture within the company and foster dynamic minds to inspire innovation.

When asked about how quality and usefulness of innovations were judged, the HR executive informed, "we invited industry experts from various renowned institutions to judge the innovations by our 10 teams comprising 9 members in each team and select the best 3 out of them."

It was a difficult task for them to decide the winners, nevertheless, the winners and the runners-up of the event were Contrivers, 9Smart, Digital Innovators, Digital Brain, Team AAI, PeopleSoft, Think Beyond, and Mavericks.
